Nakinn is an introspective art project by photographer Atli Freyr Steinsson. This project is a way of either coping with, understanding, documenting or acknowledging the artist’s own mental health.

At any given time, one piece of work is exhibited on nakinn.com, consisting of a photograph accompanied by a Haiku.

It is entirely uncertain how this project will evolve or what it will become. The subjects of the works themselves might not necessarily be about mental health topics directly but rather be a way to cope or to heal in a way. Some work, however, might more directly discuss or embody mental health issues and in particular, the artists own struggles and experiences with anxiety, depression and ADHD.
