Nakinn is an introspective art project by photographer Atli Freyr Steinsson. This project is a way of either coping with, understanding, documenting or acknowledging the artist’s own mental health.

At any given time, one piece of work is exhibited on nakinn.com, consisting of a photograph accompanied by a haiku.

It is entirely uncertain how this project will evolve or what it will become. The subjects of the works themselves might not necessarily be about mental health topics directly but rather be a way to cope or to heal in some way. Some work, however, might more directly discuss or embody mental health issues and in particular, the artists own struggles and experiences with anxiety, depression and ADHD.

Works will be available to purchase as prints here through the duration of the project.
